For those people who don't live and breathe by hospital/military time like you and me, they might argue that it happens twice - 1am and 1pm - right? But with my track record lately, I could very well be missing something :)
If you have to have the AM/PM in place to understand the time, I guess you wouldn't really understand the humor, now would you;)
Plus if you put the AM/PM right in the middle of it, the clock doesn't really read 1,2,3,4,5,6.
Confucious say, "even a broken clock is right too times a day" ;-)
